Rhodes Aphrodite's Wedding Services will make your dreams a realit to remember for the rest of your life.

Below are the initial procedures to follow to get your Special Day started, a description of the order of the day and what happens afterwards.

• Once you have decided to get married with Rhodes Aphrodite Weddings we will contact you via e-mail with all the relevant and required information, quotes and deposits.
• When we receive your deposit your requested wedding date and time will be booked with the Registrar and confirmed to you via e-mail with your receipts plus the necessary Greek legal documentation required. We will also attach our packages for you to look through at your leisure. All of our packages are only a guide line that can be changed to accommodate individual desires & requirements.
• We will then organise an initial personal consultation either in Greece or the UK to discuss in full your dream wedding and to make any bookings you may require. The consultation will last approximately 2 hours.
• At least 3 months before your wedding day you will need to obtain your Certificate of Non-Impediment. You will need a copy of your full birth certificate. (The link above will provide all the information on the paperwork required). These have to then be sent to the Foreign Office to get the official Apostille Stamp. When the Foreign Office returns all your paperwork you will then need to send these to our Rhodes Office along with a copy of both passports so they can be processed and translated. Always send Official Documents Recorded Delivery.
• If either party has been divorced, a Catholic ceremony in the Catholic Church is not Possible.
• Documents needed for a Catholic Ceremony on Rhodes are:

1. Letter of Freedom from your own Diocese in your country.
2. Baptism Certificate.
3. Confirmation Certificate.
4. Letter of Dispensation in the case of a Catholic marrying a non-Catholic.
5. Letter of Certificate of Marriage Preparation Course.
   There are no fees but a donation to the Church is welcome.

• Once we have received all of your paperwork we will send you an invoice with all your requests and prices. This invoice must be paid 8 weeks before your wedding date.
• Upon your arrival on Rhodes, Aphrodite Weddings will meet you within the first 2 days at your chosen reception venue for your final consultation to discuss any last minute menu changes (if any), your table plans and any other extra requirements you may have. You will get to meet the venue's owner and staff and sample some of their fine wines. At this meeting you will be given a mobile phone so you are always able to contact your Rhodes Aphrodite Weddings Co-ordinator and pay for any additional extras.
• On the morning of your Dream Day we will call you to make sure that everyone and everything is to your satisfaction and to answer any last minute questions you may have. Your Rhodes Aphrodite Weddings co-ordinator will have all your suppliers' confirmations for your Big Day. We provide a co-ordiantor to look after the groom and guests once at the ceremony venue and another to look after the bride prior to leaving for the ceremony and to make sure that everything is running smoothly, on time and to plan. Once the bride is at the ceremony venue the 2 co-ordinators will communicate and when everything is in place the bride will be escorted to the ceremony accompanied by your chosen music (if booked).
  Your ceremony will take approximately 10 minutes and will be read in both Greek and English. You may also like to say your own vows or have a guest do a reading. After the service you will both sign the Register with your 2 witnesses (these must be over the age of 13). You will then have time for your family and group photographs before leaving the ceremony grounds. Upon leaving the grounds confetti can be thrown if you wish.You will then be escorted by your Aphrodite Weddings' co-ordinator to your chosen transport to be taken to your reception destination.
  Your co-ordinator will stay with you and your guests for your welcome drink and to get everyone seated for your pre-meal wedding cake cutting.
• Two days after your wedding day you will meet with your co-ordinator at the local town hall between 10 & 12 am to collect your wedding certificates. You will receive 3 copies, 2 of which your co-ordinator will take to get translated into English for you and sent to your UK address within 4-6 weeks after your Big Day. Your co-ordinator will then make arrangements for your final meeting to collect your beautiful photographs and return your phone.
